The Ibanez AR520HFM semi-acoustic comes wrapped in luxurious detailing and classic style. The light and airy tone of this thinline archtop is amplified by a pair of vintage-style Super 58 humbuckers, so you get the same kind of double-coil output that you would get with an antique Japanese Ibanez from way back when. At the same time, since this is also definitely a modern guitar, each pickup comes backed up by Tri-Sound electronics, so you get three more sound profiles than you would get with just any normal hollow-body fitted with a standard three-way switch. Besides the immense tonal flexibility of this refined model, it has an incredibly snug and comfortable feel: the seamless neck-to-body heel connection grants a super-smooth transition up to the 22nd fret, while the body has been finished with a flamed maple top; coated in a classic Violin Sunburst; bound in striking and delicate purfling; and loaded with a gold-plated Quick-Change Classic tailpiece, just to complete the sumptuous picture.
